The OSI At OSCON
Submitted by Michael Tiemann on Tue, 2007-07-17 17:10. ::
As I mentioned in my blog a few weeks ago, I will be leading two BOFs at OSCON 2007 in Portland Oregon next week, but that's not all the OSI will be doing in Portland next week. We have quite a busy schedule, and here's what it's going to look like:
Monday, July 23rd: All Day Board Meeting (open to public except executive sessions)
Tuesday, July 24th:
- Morning (location TBD): License Wizard progress report and development plans
- 3pm-5pm (Special Conference Session): Executive Briefing with Matt Asay, Danese Cooper, and Michael Tiemann
- 5:30pm (BOF): Design Thinking Training session (led by Michael Tiemann, see primer for details)
Wednesday, July 25th:
- Office hours all day (except keynote sessions) in OSI Room (check conference map for details)
- T-Shirt sales (membership and fundraising) at O'Reilly Booth in Exhibit Hall
- 11:45am-12:45pm (Conference Session): Who Gets To Decide What Open Source Is?
- 5:30pm-7:30pm (BOF, in OSI Room): Designing a New OSI (led by Michael Tiemann)
Thursday, July 26th: Website design and content sprint--help always welcome!
We certainly invite any and all who are interested to attend. If you are lost and looking for sessions, send an email to osi@opensource.org. OSI Board members will also be carrying new business cards (with our new address). Many of those cards also have cellphone numbers, so if you prefer you can reach us that way (after getting a card). I hope to see many of you in Portland!
